Panel furniture travels thousands of kilometers by sea, and good packaging is the difference between a smooth delivery and a damaged-goods claim. Here is how we prepare products for ocean freight, and what buyers should check before dispatch.
What a Standard Export Carton Looks Like
Each product is wrapped to protect its surface, then packed in a strong export carton. Cartons are reinforced with corner protectors and foam cushions at stress points such as corners, drawer fronts and edges. Hardware and accessories are packed in separate bags and placed inside the carton or taped to the product frame.
Palletized or Floor-Loaded
Smaller or fragile models are usually palletized, which speeds up unloading with a forklift and reduces handling. Larger flat-pack furniture is often floor-loaded to use every cubic meter of the container. We recommend the loading method based on your models, quantities and destination.
Container Planning
Before loading, we calculate the volume and weight of every model and prepare a load plan. Mixing several models in one container is common and helps first-time buyers reach container volume with a reasonable budget. The load plan is shared with you before loading begins.
Photos Before Dispatch
You will receive packing photos and, where arranged, a video of the loading process. This record shows exactly how the goods were packed and loaded, which is valuable if any question arises during transit.
If Damage Occurs
In the rare case of transit damage, take photos of the carton and product before opening further, and contact us within the agreed claim window. With clear photo evidence, we can confirm the cause and arrange replacement parts or a solution quickly.
